Key hires during Q2 2019 at ORB

Deerfield Beach, July 19, 2019 - Ocean Ridge Biosciences (ORB) announces two key hires in Q2 2019.
Pratish Adhikari

Pratish Adhikari joined ORB as Technical Sales Manager in June 2019 and will be responsible for building relationships with ORB’s industrial and academic clients, driving revenue, establishing sales goals, pipeline management, and leveraging new business opportunities.

Before joining ORB, he worked as a Process Engineer at Integrated DNA Technologies where he monitored business and manufacturing processes, identified problems, and assisted in process improvement and optimization. Originally from Nepal, his scientific background began as he studied at Iowa State University and received degrees in Chemical Engineering and Genetics. His entrepreneurial experience began while growing up in New York shoveling snow from house to house during winter and expanded during a number of sales-related side gigs during college. After hours, Pratish enjoys networking and connecting with business owners as well as spontaneous hiking trips.

Oleg Ovchinnikov

Oleg Ovchinnikov, Ph.D. joined ORB a month before Pratish as a Computational Scientist. He will be responsible for processing and analysis of complex data sets while also contributing to the development of improvements in ORBs software infrastructure for workflow, automated data processing, presentation, and visualization. Dr. Ovchinnikov previously worked as Software Consultant and developed IO and data analysis tools at Asylum Research of Oxford Instruments group. He received his PhD from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee where his major focus of study was in condensed matter Physics. Oleg is originally from Russia and enjoys playing strategy video games online with his friends and cuddling with his 100 pound dog.

“Pratish and Oleg are an outstanding addition to our growing team at Ocean Ridge Biosciences. Oleg’s experiences in large scale computational Physics, and particularly his experiences with machine learning and high throughput pattern recognition, will advance ORBs capabilities in biomarker selection and predictive modeling. Pratish’s combination of technical and business development accumen will improve our client’s experience and will accelerate the identification of new clients that have a need for ORB’s unique blend of genomics and biomarker discovery services.” said David Willoughby, Senior Scientist and Manager.
